After 6 years out of the workforce I established Step Into Art, Inc., a
non-profit art education organization for elementary and middle school
students. I started our first program with 40 children. Now, three and
a half years later, I have created programs reaching over 500 children
through partnerships with schools, community organizations, and
reunion groups in coordination with local museums. Step Into Art has
been the perfect vehicle for me to make a difference in kids' lives and
to work in a way that is personally meaningful and compatible with my
family life.
