My life shifted when I realized how important it was for me to build a multi-dimensional network to expand my career and work possibilities. First, I competed for and won a very prestigious and highly visible volunteer position in a software industry association, which gave me new prospects, clients, new business partners, and the confidence to build my new consulting practice. Next, I created a new alumni association in my city, which led me to even more incredible contacts. I cultivated more contacts via my daughter's preschool, elementary school, our synagogue, and connections via my husband's network. Before I knew it, I had a deep reservoir of great people who could support me in my relaunch of myself and my business.
