After graduating from Purdue, I spent five years in retailing, first as an Assistant Buyer and then moving to Senior Buyer for Graceland Corporation. When my son was born, I took a six year career break. I returned to work as a Marketing Representative for a healthcare company, and then applied at Purdue to become the Director of Development for the Chemical Engineering Department. I have strong feelings for my alma mater and knew that my experience and skill set in sales and purchasing would serve me well in a development role. I credit my persistence and enthusiasm for my success in getting hired for this position and am now in my second year at Purdue.
